Rooted in primal elements of sand, stone, light, and scent, Ancestral Futures honors Arabic designers who are weaving ideas across worlds and time, creating objects that burn with meaning and connect us to all who came before. To complement the Ancestral Futures exhibition, we invited five global creatives to bring their distinct lenses to the concept of memory and materiality.
Featuring writings from Emirati chef Sahar Parham Al Awadhi, designer and writer Adam Garcia, Emirati designer Hind Bin Demaithan, Palestinian-American conceptual artist LIKETHEHIGHWAY, and curator Fatma Al Mahmoud.
