Friday Gallery is a Los Angeles-based galley and cultural salon dedicated to contemporary voices from the Global South, with a focus on the Middle East, South Asia, and beyond. From surrealist Iraqi photographers to South Asian minimalists and queer gothic brujas from Mexico, we exist to champion some of the most compelling voices working outside the Western art world and give them serious critical attention.

Each Friday season is anchored in a rotating theme, with the exhibition, events and programming, and cross-cultural collaborations bound together in a shared spirit. In doing so, we bring together artists, writers, cultural thinkers, and audiences around ideas that deserve to cross borders.

Our name (جمعة) comes from the Middle East tradition of honoring Friday as a time of connection, presence and reflection in community. Friday is a home for the forever curious, hungry to see the world with new eyes.
