Sultan bin Fahad is a Saudi prince and artist whose multidisciplinary practice delves into the layered textures of cultural identity. Working across sculpture, painting, fiber, and installation, he draws on Saudi Arabia’s eclectic material culture - flasks, prayer mats, chandeliers, wedding boxes, air conditioning units - objects both everyday and charged with meaning. His work thrives in contrast: the discarded and the divine, the sacred and the mundane, the broken and the beautiful. Scavenged artifacts are reassembled into compositions that hold the weight of history, reimagined in whimsical designs.
