Athar أثر is a trace, an imprint, evidence of something that remains. Beginning at a precise perimeter, lines transform until they converge around a perfect circular center. 
One geometry dissolves into the other while an uninterrupted lineage connects the two. Form and body shifts as distance from the origin expands. We remember the center, no matter how far we journey from it.

Sada / on Echoes is a solo show by Palestinian-American artist Charles Karim Aweida. His metal-woven sculptural bodies draw on the algorithms of an echo: resonance carried at a distance, separated from its origin yet bound to it. To live in the Palestinian diaspora is to know this distance intimately. The echo always remembers the voice that breathed it into life.
